Rangoon Creeper

My Rangoon Creeper has started to flower with beautiful blooms after more than a full year since my hubby transferred it to a bigger pot and placed it outside of my main gate. It was formerly placed at my front porch. I last posted about this plant back in October 2010, and that was two years ago! The plant was not doing well shortly after that, so my hubby trimmed  it down to a short slim stump, transfereed it to a bigger pot and with TLC, it has grown and here are the first blooms after more than a year.

These photos were taken about a month ago, the flowers have now wilted and hopefully, new blooms would appear soon enough!

Happy Gardening !

  1. Oh so lovely. I love Rangoon Creeper so much. But due to space constraint I never got to plant them. I must try planting them in the big pot like yours

  2. Congratulations! Once it starts blooming, it will continued doing so at regular intervals. I have both the single and double-petaled variety, but I find that the single-petaled variety has a more pleasant fragrance.

  3. Joyce, that is a beauty! I have been eyeing one of my neighbor's Rangoon Creeper. That one is orangey in color and I prefer your pink one. I did not plant it because it needs lots of space and support. My garden is already a mini jungle!

  4. Oh Joyce what a pretty vine. It almost looks like a honeysuckle of sorts. Is it intensely fragrant? It looks so pretty, sounds like that hubby of yours has a green thumb! Maybe he could help me with my unfruitful pineapple plant, lol...

Thank you so much for sharing...I'm so looking forward to spending my winter oogling your plant posts:)
