From Pole to Tree

Found this little caterpillar on the telephone pole at my back yard.

A beautiful splash of green against the blackish-grey pole.

Took this little one and place it on my belimbing tree.

Could not find the little one the next day! Must be hiding somewhere! Anyway, took pictures of the belimbing fruits instead!

The fruits even grow lying down on the ground!

Happy Gardening !

    1. Hi Diana,
So kesian-nya! Wish I could send some belimbing to you!
I did thought of chopping the tree, but now it is heavily fruiting, actually been fruiting for months non-stop! Will wait for it to stop first, then I'll probably give it a "hair-cut"! hahaha!

    1. Would be glad to share with you the belimbing if you are nearby. :)
Sorry about the word verification, I do not have this function before, but have been receiving spam comments so often in both my gardening and cooking blog, that I have included the word verification function. Will remove it maybe in the near future! I apologize once again!

  6. I'm amazed at your plentiful belimbing fruits. The caterpilar is translucent, similiar to that of apple-green jade. I hope it is safe and able to metamorphosize into a butterfly.

  9. hi there! I was enticed by your belimbing tree/fruits! I grew up in the Philippines surrounded by this tree (we call it kalamyas). I can still remember the taste. We use the fruits for our sour soup! YummY!!! Sadly, this tree won't grow here in Iowa. It won't survive the cold.
